Five Questions Meme

Hello, friends new and old. This is a meme so we can get to know each other a bit better (and, if last night was anything to go by, so that I have something entertaining to read at 4 am :-/) Come and comment here and I will ask you FIVE EXCITING FANDOMMY QUESTIONS. Probably.I might just ask dull stuff about your favourite cheese, or nosy things about your sex life
Or, if you are feeling shy, or are naturally the inquisitive type yourself, you can ask ME five questions.
IT'S VERY EXCITING. We can pretend we are in the Slytherin Common Room playing Truth or Dare. WHO'S GOING TO BE FIRST?

Date: 2013-01-22 05:07 pm (UTC)Ugh! Tiramisu. You are welcome to all of it, as far as I am concerned.
I agree Daniel Radcliffe seems so nice and funny. I don't think of him when I think of Harry, but I do think of Harry when I think of him. Does that make sense?

Date: 2013-01-22 05:53 pm (UTC)nah, it's okay. i like this kind of hypothetical questions because they get me to think. and they're hypothetic, nothing more. :)
^^ it was fun :D

Date: 2013-01-22 06:03 pm (UTC)1) What is SNAPE'S favourite cheese? (ahaha, that will teach you to try to dictate the questions)
2) If you had to cut off your nose or your leg, which would you choose?
3) Who do you fancy most, me or Cheryl Dyson? (did you see earlier, I asked a brilliant question about C Dyson in a fight, but no-one would answer it. *huff*)
4) Which fanfic do you wish you had written?
5) If you had to be the sex slave of an HP character, who would you choose, and what do you think their first command would be?
6) super bonus exciting question: If you could only eat ketchup or mayonnaise for the rest of your life, which would you choose?

Date: 2013-01-22 06:11 pm (UTC)I love your answers, especially no 5 (also my favourite scene), but I was disappointed by your lack of commitment to no 3 ;-)
Re: I
Date: 2013-01-22 06:14 pm (UTC)I love that you've played Lockhart! I actually really enjoy his character.

2) What was the last thing you bought?
3) Would you rather have a flask of Polyjuice potion or Veritaserum? (with no repercussions from use)
4) Which pairing do you like best: Harry / Snape, or Draco / Ginny. Why?
5) Does Snape wear pants? DOES HE?

Date: 2013-01-22 09:30 pm (UTC)1) Now this is interesting. My first thought was that Peter Pettigrew should die (because UGH), but actually it should probably be James who dies, because Harry wouldn't be Our Harry if his father had lived. So, tragic though that is, Daddy Potter gets it. From there, the others are easy. Slap Pettigrew (because UGH). Kiss Sirius (because UNF), and marry Remus (because he's just lovely).
2) Um, you know, I'm not sure. I added a few films (Seven, Goodfellas, 12 Angry Men) to my amazon basket this morning after discovering some aged gift vouchers, but obviously that's not really shopping. I've also added cling film and cat food to my supermarket shop to be delivered tomorrow morning. In terms of shopping in person, though, that is probably from last weekend, when I bought lots of baby things for my friend who is due to give birth any day now. On the same trip I bought this book for my not-really-niece's birthday in a couple of weeks - husband and I were cackling reading it, it's great (and a little less obviously bleak than the first book by this guy). However, that shopping trip was largely because I wanted an excuse to go into town and buy this book - The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss which is just wonderful. He is my favourite new author and I love the way he writes, so lyrical and full of detail without being annoyingly difficult to read. I also love his main character, Kvothe, who is "a great gaudy showboating bastard" and very entertaining to read.
3) Oh blimey, I'm not sure. I think perhaps Polyjuice has the potential to be fun, but Veritaserum is likely to get you knowing things you'd really rather not know. How weird would it be to polyjuice yourself as your spouse though, so you could essentially swap bodies? Is it really wrong that I even thought that?
4) I don't like either! Harry and Draco belong together! If pushed I can probably see Harry/Snape more than Draco/Ginny though. If I imagine Draco/Ginny, I can mostly only envision a blazing row.
5) Snape totally wears pants. He has these billowing robes, he is in constant danger of a Marilyn Monroe moment.

Date: 2013-01-22 09:31 pm (UTC)1) What is your favourite piece of art (RL or fandom) and why?
2) What was the last piece of music you listened to?
3) If I gave you a kitten tomorrow, what would you call it?
4) Recently my husband and I nearly died laughing after he described me as like "an espresso - short, dark, and bitter". What drink would your husband say you were?
5) What was the last real book you read? What did you think of it?

Date: 2013-01-22 09:56 pm (UTC)For Q4, I was trying to think of a more non-leading way to ask the question than "which do you hate least?" Heh heh heh.
Do you think Snape's robes are light enough for Marilyn effect? I imagine them all stiff and heavy, maybe with sickles sewn into the hem
so that no-one will get an eyeful of his bollocks if he goes out in a high windThank you for the answers and also for my questions! I will answer them later when I am on the pc so I can link ALL yTHE ARTS (you didn't think I would just pic ONE?? :D)

Date: 2013-01-22 10:28 pm (UTC)My favourite from hd_hols was probably this: http://hd-holidays.livejournal.com/241225.html I love it when I can see a piece in my head and think about it during the day. Those are my current main ones.
Real life arts, I have so many favourites. I love Botticelli, Crivelli, Van Eyck, Klimt, Durer... I adore Lucian Freud, and Gormley too. People seldom seem to know Harry Clarke so I will link to one of his: http://www.1st-art-gallery.com/thumbnail/133843/1/The-New-One-Is-The-Most-Beautiful-Of-All,-Illustration-For-$27the-Ugly-Duckling$27-From-Fairy-Tales.jpg (apologies for ugly links btw)
3) I would call it "Take That Thing Back Right Now". God, I really don't want a kitten or any pet. Probably ever. They break your heart and I haven't got time. Sorry.
4) LOL! Maybe a Guinness - strange and thick ;-)
5) It's not a novel but I read Benrik's 'This Book Will Change Your Life". I thought it was great and I was totally going to follow the book and do all the tasks until I got to the day where it said "Go into a police station and say 'I am finally turning myself in ', then refuse to speak for the day." :-o I felt that was an adventure I could live without having.

Date: 2013-01-22 10:42 pm (UTC)I guess liking cheese is some kind prerequisite for being French, so I wouldn't hold anything cheese-related against you! ;)
(And I'm not even a real connoisseur as far as cheese is concerned, and my tastes are pretty tame)
Thanks for your encouragement, I think I'll need it! :)

Date: 2013-01-23 08:20 am (UTC)1) What is your favourite H/D trope?
2) Would you rather it was always morning or always evening?
3) Which HP character would you most like as a work colleague? And which would be your worst nightmare?
4) If you could be granted the power to do one spell, as many times as you like, which would you choose?
5) What was the last dream you had?

Date: 2013-01-23 02:55 pm (UTC)2). I would choose to cut off someone else's nose/leg. Although, since I have no nose, being Voldemort (don't say you'd FORGOTTEN), the question is already answered.
3). Hmm. Tricky. Do you still have an eggy chin? Do you currently have a full complement of eyebrows? I am not sure I feel ready to make a choice without knowing the full facts. Re. the fight questions, definitely Cheryl :D She could wreak havoc with her high heels!
4). Telanu's Unwilling Sleep (Pet Shop of Horrors). It is just the ultimate 'how they got together' fic for that fandom, and it is now completely my headcanon. I don't think it can be bettered. I don't think I have an HP one!
5). lmfao! I choose Harry. His first 'command' would be 'Don't worry, who_la_hoop, Hermione will help me break this spell!' :D
I wouldn't say no to being the filling in a Remus/Sirius sarnie, *cough*6). Really? REALLY? I don't think my life would last very long. Um... ketchup. Too much mayo makes me feel ill. Though, mind you, too much ketchup would too...

Date: 2013-01-23 05:21 pm (UTC)exactly like you would expect a 41 year old woman with a non-sleeping baby, whose main activities are eating cake, reading fanfic and singing Kumbayalike a FUCKING GODDESS of course! Can't we just pretend?I feel all shiny-chinned and full of inner sparkliness.

2) What is your desert island fic? (one you would take with you to sustain you through difficult times)
3) Would you rather always be slightly too hot, or slightly too cold?
4) Which HP era would you choose to travel to? Marauders, Founders, War, Epilogue, Other?
5) What is the last film you watched?

Date: 2013-01-24 09:36 pm (UTC)1) SUCH a difficult question - there are LOTS :D - I'm going to go with The Kiss by
2) I'm going to go with underwear, because I assume I am still fully clothed, and if I had my purse I could just buy some when out :D
3) Probably Hermione. I was a bit of a swot at school ;-)
4) The Secret of Crickley Hall by James Herbert and I am currently reading a giant book of H.G. Wells stories which I got for Christmas.
5) DAMN, I can't choose!! I would throw myself out because Severus taught me how to fly :D - sorry, that answer was a total cheat!!!

Date: 2013-01-24 10:24 pm (UTC)I used to love H.G. Wells when I was a child - I was just remembering the other day that I was obsessed with "The Island of Dr Moreau" :-0 I could never read anything so disturbing now, I am a total coward.
