and OH GOSH! I forgot when I started writing this that it is my FIVE HUNDREDTH POST on LJ! I was trying to think of something special to mark the occasion, but instead, here is more smutty nonsense from me (probably quite fitting in a way...). Thank you all VERY MUCH INDEED for putting up with me on here and making it a fun, creative, supportive, surprising, sometimes bizarre and frequently joyful place to be. ♥


But, back to fan_fair: I wrote Here Be Dragons, for writcraft's brilliant prompt. I then also got writcraft to beta it, which I know is a little unorthodox *cough* :D Many thanks to her for the great inspiration and then some very patient betaing. Thank you to dear lq_traintracks for much support and advice. Thanks also to lovely shiftylinguini for suggesting Draco might have a tiny pet dragon. Ethel is all for you, my dear! ♥

Warnings/Content Notes: Light BDSM, light D/s themes, Auror!Harry, Suspect!Draco, mild kinkiness, some affectionate suggestion that Ron might not be the hardest working Auror ever, dragons doing what comes naturally, and lots of UST. Also, yes, this *is* basically a blatant excuse for 22,000 words of Draco in leather.
Summary: Harry doesn’t want to waste his time investigating illegal dragonhide trading, whether it involves a fetish club in Knockturn Alley or visiting a remote island in Wales. Why the bloody hell does Malfoy always have to be up to something?

A few extra notes on the fic (me waffling, really):

- Ethelinda means 'noble snake'. I make no comment about whether she deserves that title based on her behaviour, but it amuses me to think of Draco optimistically naming her that when she was a hatchling.
- The fantasy name generator was a great help to me for the other dragons' names.
- I don't know if anyone spotted my deeply hilarious, to me anyway Cursed Child reference. I would like to use this particular bit of CC canon in every fic I write from now on, but I guess it would out me pretty fast. :D
- I feel fairly certain I have pinched the idea of a Wizarding magazine called Alohomora! from another writer's fic, but I cannot remember where. If it was yours, please let me know!

hp_kinkfest is claiming this week! And the Prompt List is AMAZING. O__O

The fest has a brief timeline which encourages short and intense works, and you can request your own posting date. It's a really low-stress, low-fuss, all-round excellent fest and you can choose from the list of kinky ideas or write/draw for your own idea - any kink, any pairing.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to see an explosion of KINKY ART for this fest? It doesn't have to be explicit... (I know a lot of people feel shy about posting NC-17 art). Lots of the prompts lend themselves to something slightly suggestive but not full on porny. And I may have left a few prompts there myself, waiting to find a home in someone's divinely kinky brain.

I have added a few tags with things that I have seen prompted at kinkfest, or just that I think might be inspiring, heh.

hp_kinkfest began posting yesterday, and here is my piece if you would like to try it. It's the story I was wanting to write when I posted asking for help with dirty talk. The discussion was so helpful and really encouraged me, so I hope the results are reasonably successful.

I suspect it sounds a bit heavy-going from the tags and warnings, but what Harry and Draco do is very consensual, as well as very kinky, if that reassures anyone.
