Somebody really spammed LJ pretty thoroughly, hmm?

I don't even get what they're advertising? At first I thought it was an accident, like those nightmares where you post to a comm and for a second you think you've pressed 'post to ALL comms'. But it's lots of different users posting? I'm scared. What if it's somebody taking over other people's accounts to post indecipherable things? WHAT IF I'M NEXT? *clings to flist*

I started reported them, it's so annoying that each spam is made by a different account though. :(
At least I can read my flist to users only!

I hope so. LJ was down for a little while, the whole thing is a big mess!!
They're spamming inactive comms too, so I hope LJ does something about it, because I don't think the mods will.

Same thing here. What's weird is that the spam showed up on my feed, but when I went to hd_storyroom as a mod to delete it directly, it wasn't there! But it was still in my feed! Weird.

And I couldn't link to the entry directly from my feed to delete it either, probably because of so many people reporting it, it got semi-deleted or something (I mean, I dunno, but there has to be a reason).

So I "flagged" it from my feed and from there I could delete it as spam from hd_storyroom, and that's the only thing that worked.

I think you're right, so many people reporting it must have helped a lot. I've also seen mod posts informing that they've changed to moderated posts temporarly or definitely. My flist is finally back to normal!! :)

I've got crap on hp add me, sherlock icons, fandom stats, hp canon love, hp diversity... those were just the first few. I think i follow too many comms!
