Have LJ changed the Friends page...

So you can only see the last 3 pages of entries?

I am guessing they want me to change to the new style, and of course it is tempting, just so I can see what I missed...

You should be able to still see further - you can always change how far you go back on the url (skip=20 etc) or by setting how many posts on a page...

It will only let you go back "so many" - about 30. At least for my flist and that of the Prophet's "watcher comm" that we use to post the Prophet from.

Yeah, me too, so I can go back two pages. But the watcher is set to 30 and is only showing me those with no option to go further.

So, I've bitten the bullet and changed over.

Yeah, did that this morning - but it gets confusing if you have to constantly scroll forwards and back as I often do when doing admin stuff. But glad it's suited you!

Go to Journal Style, then in the top, right-hand side of the screen there should be a box containing,amongst other things, more options and 'customize your theme'. Click on 'customize your theme' and one of your options should include 'Number of journal entries to show on recent entries page'.

It does but then if you go to the address bar and manually type in 40 it goes back to 40 and the back button re-appears!

That's what I did this morning after I fought with the mobile version. But it's clumsy on my phone :( I'll just learn to live with it I think - I have too many LJ admin things to do.

But cheers for suggesting it! That's gonna be a great help (until the &*^%&ers close that loophole:)

LJ is being a pain today! Had the same issues; sometimes the bottom of the page wouldn't load at all. Very buggy. Seems back to normal for me now though.

Yes, now you mention it, I had lots of time outs and things. My space bar has also gone sticky. A day of petty annoyances!

I'm not having this problem. I was able to go back 100 entries (10 posts per page) before I stopped, but I think it would have gone on indefinitely. Maybe it depends on which layout you have?

Either way, it seems like rather a cheap trick to force you to change over. I don't want the new friends page. If I wanted a tumblr-like interface, I'd be on tumblr.
