I realised I missed a fic I wanted to rec at

Summary: Draco Malfoy is assumed lost in the Forbidden Forest, Harry is a sucker for mothers, so he promises Narcissa Malfoy to look for her son. Things happen.

I really liked this - it's intense, and mysterious, and has a wonderful creeping, unease about it, but also a sort of odd beauty. The atmosphere of the Forbidden Forest and its inhabitants are described so vividly, and, I thought, with great originality. It kept surprising me (in a good way) all the way through. Definitely worth a read.

And, I was a bit tired to do much reading last night, so I spent a happy evening browsing on deviantart. I found some very nice Dracos that I mostly hadn't seen before:

Draco and Harry, or as the artist says, the ship is really Draco / Harry / architecture. :DD This could be my OT3? It's PG for kissing. I like this very much - the sense of place, their hair, the pose, the arches... in my mind, they're older, here, and Hogwarts professors, or something, and they've gone for a walk in the moonlight and forgotten that they are too old to be snogging in corridors any more...

From the same artist: Snape and Draco - Consolation - PG, for some blood on clothes and floor. Set in the bathroom immediately post-Sectumsempra. I like Draco's vulnerability and the way Snape is caring for him.

Draco Pansy Kiss - PG-13 for a rather raunchy kiss. HET! Shock horror. I love Draco's elegance but also the way he is so obviously into the kiss, and Pansy's bare thigh above her sock is delicious.

Draco - Gen. Well, how about THIS, slightly older Draco? (He looks older to me than the 22 the artist suggests). He's kind of perfect, in lots of ways. ~~Now, if he had a kneeling naked Harry in front of him...~~ I love his nonchalance and slightly challenging expression.

Whereas this Draco (Gen) looks young and uncertain. And the fact that he's divinely beautiful doesn't hurt.

Here's a darling Draco (Gen) who has fallen asleep in a heap of cuteness with Teddy.

And finally, here's a Draco who is totally going to fail that exam: Exams soon. NSFW at all. Tut tut! Rimming. Harry/Draco. I love the way his shirt is rucked up, and the tension in his gorgeously poised arms and legs.
