In fact I am totally adopting this as my new mantra when people are being shitty.

- I decided to go as Newt Scamander again for our town cosplay event - I thought it was too niche, but people have pointed out that the Fantastic Beasts trailers are in the cinema right now so perhaps more people will know who I am? And the suitcase is actually too good to waste. On this subject does anyone know about temporary brown hair dye that won't stain your hair for ever? I don't really want to spend months growing out brown hair when I've just spent months getting it a nice white blonde and then dying it blue. Hmmm.

- Seeing Cursed Child (and the divine Ms who_la_hoop) in TWO WEEKS. *flail*

- And I wrote a rough H/D thing that's about 2k and it needs plenty of work but it's a STORY (kind of, heh) and I WROTE IT and this makes me happy.

- I hope you're having happy days, too, but if not, remember: they're just jealous because you're a Ghostbuster and they're not. ♥ ♥ ♥

Pokieart's art is fabulous. I'm kind of reblogging all their pics on tumblr whenever I see one. This Harry looks gorgeous and I'm not even into beards. We can talk about a combination of beards and man buns. LOL

No clue about the hair dying. I'd ask a hair dresser as this is a tricky topic and you won't come out of it with green or orange hair.

I can totally see Harry with a beard and manbun now! I'm so happy to be able to picture it clearly at last.

I'll definitely ask my hairdresser. However he will probably just say "don't do it", LOL, that's what usually happens. Then I come back a month later, having done the thing, and he calls me a brat and fixes it. :DD We have an understanding.

Brown over blonde is an arse pain. If you have a local hair dresser supply shop, see if they have any spray-on colour that they can recommend for your hair, as that is both the easiest to get in and (usually) the least staining. Otherwise, wig. You don't want to be putting anything with any proper red tones over that blonde and most browns have some.

Also, glorious art, brilliant plan for cosplay, HOLTZMANN!!!, how awesome is Julian? (8-9!!) and I have missed chatting with you.


PS And yay writing!!! I finished too quickly there. (And am really not making a teenaged boy joke here, because that would be inappropriate.)

Definitely no wig - I'll just have to be blonde if I can't dye it. But the spray is a good idea! I was sort of wondering if my hairdresser couldn't just bleach the life out of it again afterwards, but we'll see what he says when I mention it.

8-9 is the only way to sign off your fan letters. I'm going to start ending all correspondence

I KNOW. Only who_la could have GOT these tickets, she has magic fingers for booking things on the internet. Is the exhibition thing the house of Minalima, with the art from the films and stuff? Yay for writing! I had a good run the other day and hope to take some writing time today, myself.

I also vote for a wig or some kind of spray on hair color or hair chalk. I think putting any kind of brown over a nice, light blond like you have now would risk the original color, regardless of how temporary it might be.

Oh, and you should hear his voice! He's on a show here called Sleepy Hollow (he plays Ichabod Crane). Unfortunately, the show's quality had been dropping significantly, and then the showrunners did his co-lead real dirty in the last season finale; a huge number of fans have jumped ship now. So I hope the show goes down in flames and gets cancelled fast, so that Tom can escape and find something much better for him. :)

And yeah I saw the Ghostbuster poster already and isn't it brilliant! I haven't seen the movie yet, but I'm already deeply in love with Holtzmann, if the pics and gifs flooding the internet right now are anything to go by. And the letter, so amazing. I love Julian too, not as much as Holtzmann, but he makes for a good second place.

And yay for writing! I already sort of started drabbling for nextgen, couldn't resist the prompt, and isn't it just the best thing to have your fingers absolutely itching to write :)

Also, about the hair, you could maybe try hair chalk? It's a bit of a hassle to put in, but I've done it before with pink and blue and they both washed out easily after. I bought a big box of different colours, and I'm pretty sure it included browns as well, but I haven't tried that out. It was pretty cheap :)

(Just remembered that you asked about my lilac hair when I got that, and to update you on that - it lasted disappointingly short. Just a week and a half later it was completely gone. On the bright side - it makes it less scary to do something like that again!)

I remembered you saying hair chalk had stained your hair? I may try, but I'm a bit wary tbh!

I'm sorry about the lilac. I have found pinky purples (which is the colour I'd love) only last a very short time. Bluey purples on the other hand last FOREVER, LOL, and then fade to green, on my hair, anyway.

I recommend Violet Directions if you can get hold of it, but it starts off very bright and deep and fades to a pretty pastel purple... then blue... then greenish. The only way to get a pastel that lasts AFAIK is to use a coloured shampoo like Bleach of London so that you are basically dying your hair a bit more every time you wash it...

Oh, I think that must've been someone else? I had no problems with the hair chalk. There was maybe a tiny hint of hue left after one wash, but after two it was totally gone both times I tried. And that was even with my current Malfoy-ish pale hair. Might be that it varies for different hair types though :/

Oh cool! Thanks for the tips :) I think maybe my hairdresser used something like the Bleach thing too, because she just had it in while she washed my hair. They also sold the dye so I could fix it myself when it faded, but I figured I wouldn't have the chance to do that on my travels so I didn't buy it. Maybe I have to try that the next time. Or find Bleach the next time I'm in London!

Ah, sorry, I can't remember who had trouble with the hair chalk then!

Just looked at the Bleach shop and they only do a pink shampoo at the moment. My friend who went to their salon for a pastel do, they told her to use this mixed in with her conditioner every time she washed it to keep it topped up. She said it was a right pain in the bum but it did look awesome. I'm happy to send a parcel any time you want something from the UK, you know. <3
