This is for anyone who has read Euphoria / Rapture, my series about Draco, Albus and Scorpius getting it on. (yes, I know there are only about 5 of you, but I love each and every one of you :DD)

What house do you think Euphoria!Albus was in at Hogwarts? And please tell me why in the comments.

OMG well last time I did this with you on Unguarded I got it totally effing wrong, but I'm sticking with my guns and...getting it wrong again >.< SORRY but I just went with Slyth again. It could be Gryff either, but it's not Huff or Ravenclaw IMO. Eeep, I could be wrong!!! Here's why I am wrong going with SlytherAl!:

Ok, so my reasoning is similar as to why I went with Slytherin in Unguarded (ahahahaa, I just enjoy being wrong! *stubborn*).

I think he is not a Puff, because your Draco is a bastard and would have mentioned it, in some form of an insult or assessment, in his internal monologue. I don't think his house prejudices would have gone away, based on the way he behaves, so it would have come up. I think for a similar reason, even more so, Al is not a Gryffindor, becasue lordy, Draco would have thought about *that* wouldn't he? Potter's precious. youngest, Gryffindor son, gagging for Malfoy cock? He'd frame that and hang it on the mantle!

As for a Claw, hmm. It doesn't seem to fit AL, but I confess I perhaps don't know enough about what his other interests are? He doesn't strike me as bookish, but perhaps he is a daydreamer, but the hat perhaps looks at something deeper in someone's psyche/desires before sorting them. We don't know if he is creative, either, but he could be. A claw is in the maybe basket... and it is far more neutral than the stereotypes re houses Malfoy would adhere to, in his head at least, so he might not really mind Al is a claw (I know I've based so much of this on Draco haha. For what it's worth, I don't think Scorp would give a flying toss if Albus was sorted in the Sea Monkey house :P). But I guess I don't get a claw vibe.

Now, I went with Slytherin/gryffindor, because it sort of fits Albus here IMO, and because again I think it would make Albus that extra little bit even more covetable to Draco. Potter's precious, youngest, Slytherin boy? That's not something to conquest, that's something to put on the mantle in itself, and perhaps explains some of Draco's possessiveness? I think Draco would have gotten a real kick out of seeing Al put into Slyhterin, out of seeing Albus get together with his son, and then of course out of fucking the living daylights out of him.

As for why it suits Albus, well.... I sort of firmly believe the houses are blanket groupings that can't even begin to touch on how complicated a person could be. AND I think that Slytherin/Gryffindor have a lot in common. AND Albus is meant to be a bit similar to Harry, and Harry was almost a Slytherin, so there's that? If we throw away all the negative stuff about the conniving, cunning, sneaky bastard Slytherin stereotype (omg I keep spelling Slytherin wrong in so many ways lmao), then Al could happily slot in there. I mean, a Slyhterin could be naive, and guileless, in their quest to fuck all the Malfoys ever, right? That has a certain ambitious, rule-breaking quality to it? And if I look at your best quote ever, about the differences between Scorp and Draco to Albus, that bit about wondering if people can see it in your eyes... I don't know, it gives me equally Slytherin/gryffindor feels? y'know it could be that Slytherin streak in him, wanting to do these 'wrong' things, push boundaries, or it's a Gryffindor seeking new thrills, and again, do 'wrong' things.

So, yeah, I am sort of equally Gryff/Slyth, but I just can't help thinking Draco would have had a moment's gloat over fucking Potter's Gryffindor boy. but I said that last time, and was a million kind's of wrong. So perhaps he is a Gryffindor with a heart of gold and the bravery to go after what he wants in his arse , and he's a big green streak of Slyhterin in him which is shaped like a cock.

Shit, so what was my final stance? Not a Puff, but sweet as one, not a Claw but smart, and thus he is either Slytherin/Gryffindor, but erring towards Slyhterin, even though you said he isn't one, becasue of your Draco :D. So he's a Gryffindor, and Draco has pushed that out of his mind forever, because perish the thought? :D

(perhaps is Scorpius was a Gryffindor too, then Draco actually Obliviated himself? And that's why he doesn't think it!)

Well, the thing is, I think me being a total dork has completely messed up all of your thoughtful thoughts. Because, the problem is, I DON'T KNOW WHAT HOUSE AL WAS SORTED INTO IN THIS FIC. So the reason Draco hasn't commented on it... is that I didn't know it myself. *small voice* Sorry? I sort of realised as I embarked on fic 3 that I really should know a few things about Al, like where he works, and whether Harry and Ginny know that he's gay, and what they said when he told them... and what house he was in. *spanks self* I'M SORRY. Your logic is faultless. Except for when dealing with dopey writers who don't know their own characters.

So. If we pretend that Draco DID already comment, scathingly or otherwise, on Al's house... (and bearing in mind that I am pretty sure in Euphoria, Scorp says And who exactly is the Slytherin here?*)... WHAT did Draco say?

* And if that's not clear, what he means is, "It's almost as if Al is the Slytherin rather than me and my dad." Er. Sorry.

I'm so so tempted to indulge in a little retcon here. Because I 100% agree with you - if Al is a Gryffindor or a Hufflepuff - which I am pretty certain he IS - there's no way that Draco wouldn't have commented on this, at least to himself.

Mind you, we didn't actually get Draco's POV in Euphoria. I was convinced we did! I started writing Rapture and I was all like, right, and now Draco chips in, and then when I went back to Euphoria I realised it's alternating Al and Scorp POV! So Draco could be thinking literally ANYTHING during that fic and we would never know, hahaha!
