I stole this from     [livejournal.com profile] ginger_veela

Hello, friends new and old. This is a meme so we can get to know each other a bit better (and, if last night was anything to go by, so that I have something entertaining to read at 4 am :-/) Come and comment here and I will ask you FIVE EXCITING FANDOMMY QUESTIONS. Probably. I might just ask dull stuff about your favourite cheese, or nosy things about your sex life

Or, if you are feeling shy, or are naturally the inquisitive type yourself, you can ask ME five questions.

IT'S VERY EXCITING. We can pretend we are in the Slytherin Common Room playing Truth or Dare. WHO'S GOING TO BE FIRST?

If life has taught me anything, it's that I can leave things behind: nothing lasts forever. A some point I would like to write some OF (not m/m, either), so yes, I stand by my choice.

As for the dentist, it was his body. His face was a little too Percy-ish, but the rest... *drools in memory*

No problem! I pretty much will answer anything I'm asked (though the answer is sometimes "none of your business*g*)

Also I don't think I want Draco too flirty etc. My idea of a good time is female company and intelligent and conversation with a heart. And tea.

1) Binns. Because sleep class is always awesome! More seriously Lupin because he was very heavy on the practical applications and that's always good.

2) That would be the one where I woke up and climbed out the window to fight a vampire, won and went back to my room only to be attacked by a werewolf. No prizes for guessing what trope I was reading that night ;)

3) Hair. Based on family genetics I'm due to lose it by 40 anyway and I think I would make a kickass bald chick. Plus wigs. Whereas dentures just creep me out.

4) Bellatrix. She's the only marked female Death Eater (to the best of my knowledge) and one of LV's most trusted soldiers. I can't see her crush on LV playing a role in her getting that position. Sure it might have inspired her, but just because she had a crush doesn't mean LV would just give her the position, and the rest of the DEs certainly wouldn't sit down and let her. How much of a HBIC must she have been to make it in that morass of men? I want to know everything about Bellatrix the ass kicker and taker of names.

5) I don't really notice when people disappear... although faithwood hasn't had any long stories in over an year...

And you:
1. You have the option to go back in time and show Tom Riddle the light by way of your wiles~~~ This will mean that Harry & Co don't exist. Do you do it?

2. If you could spend a day as a bird which one would you pick?

3. What's the weirdest thing you've eaten?

4. What's your dream vacation?

5. What do you think is the creepiest thing about the Wizarding World?

Great questions!

1. My favorite would have to be McGonagall. I love her backstory on Pottermore and she's always been an interesting character in the series. And it helps that I like Transfiguration :)

2. I would call Hogwarts at: + 1 781 452 4077 and ask for my letter. (Try it out; it actually works!)
My real answer to this question would have to be Tina Fey. I would thank her for proving that women can succeed in comedy, and for getting me through my years in high school and college with her TV show, 30 Rock. Which is ending, but I’m not bitter.

3. I don’t know them well, so it would be unfair of me to pick one.

4. Right now on my tabs, I have LiveJournal, reading rumors at Snopes, trying not to be scared at CreepyPasta, and listening to Linkin Park on Pandora.

5. I love this question. The day I would pick is the Astronomy Tower scene in the sixth book. I remember first reading this in my teens and throwing my book at the wall when Dumbledore died. I think it’s because it made the war real to me, not that I didn’t care about Cedric or Sirius dying, but I wasn’t emotionally invested in them like I was with Dumbledore. I remember Snape finally revealing himself as a “traitor,” but the thing that surprised me was that Draco couldn’t kill Dumbledore, because I really thought he would (the foreshadowing had prepared me for that). This would be the perfect day to visit.

I have a panel of favourite cheeses so you can totally ask me about that! (Or other things, really...)

Deal, let's set a date. I mean, I don't understand who wouldn't be excited when put into that room. Seriously. Snape, I swear, I can be your Lily!

1) #1 Comté, because it's good and it reminds me of a friend who used to bring it from home so we could eat it together.
#2 Parmigiano-Reggiano, because it's good and it can make everything good, and I could live on its scent only.
#3 Goat cheese (any kind), because it's good, and one of the first "real" cheese I learnt to appreciate.
#4 Brie, because it's good and my father always buys some for me when I go to my parents' because he knows I like it.
#5 Gorgonzola, because it's good and reminds me of Tintin.

2) Sad times from my childhood, so I could understand better why the grown-ups acted like they did.

3) As the next week is very important for what I hope to be my future career, I'd say a hundred-year-old person (in hope I'd have the knowledge and wisdom I need, too), but any other week would have been baby, because I love the idea of experiencing everything for the first time again.

4) Neville Longbottom! I don't even know why, really, he's just the first that came to mind. I expect him to drink moderately and have good conversation, and if we're at his wife's pub maybe we'll get something free. ;)

5) Too many to count, but if I have to choose only one, I'd go for the very first HP fic I've ever read, the one that introduced me to fandom: Of Eros and of Dust by lilithilien

oohooohhh

1) i don't actually know - i can't think of one single memory that would be powerful enough to produce a patronus. maybe i'd just try to channel a few different things into it: the knowledge that i'm doing good in life so far, that my family is healthy and happy, and maybe draw on my brother's and sister's newfound joy in having become parents.

2) uhm... actually i don't mind any of the houses. i think i'd say hufflepuff but only because i'm a devout slytherclaw that keeps getting sorted gryffindor - and i can see why, but i don't think that the qualities that make me gryffindor are my most prominent or important ones. maybe. and i sure do have hufflepuff qualities, but those are kind of in the backseat. idk.

3) curled up on my sofa under a blanket, either reading/writing or my new pastime: knitting while listening to podfic or watching a movie/tv series.

4) that's a tough one. losing memories = losing friends (i mean, how would i know i had friends if i had no memories? but also, if i lose my memories, i'd lose the 'reasons' for why are friends in the first place). but losing friends and keeping memories is also a big deal for me because i don't make friends easily and losing the precious few that i do have would be very, very painful. but i'd have my memories and life experience, so there's that. TL;DR: i don't know, i think i'd go with losing friends, assuming that i would be able to (assuming they're not dead) regain their friendship on basis of our shared past.

5) i don't re-read fanfics that much that i have a specific one or two that i return to when i'm low - actually, when i'm low, i tend to read books instead of fanfic because when i read books i'm completely cut off from the outside world and can just hide in the one i'm reading. that survival mechanism has worked for me since i learned how to read and i think after twenty years it's not going to change. books ground me and let me escape at the same time.

(but for fanfics that make me smile and feel happy? secrets of a successful marriage by valtyr (tony/steve), creevey at large by nopejr (genfic with harry/draco), the act of creation will be your salvation by scifigirl47 (bot!fic with background tony/steve), pretty much anything harry/draco lettered writes (but mostly the boy who lived twice because that fic is perfection), long live living (if living can be this) (remus/sirius) by excaliburned, motion practice (clint/phil with background bruce/tony, pepper/natasha and steve/bucky) by the_wordbutler and those are just the ones i remember from off the top of my head. :) )

(That's what fanfic is for! Living through gay wizards! XD)

1) Actually I prefer not to think about anything that exists under Snape's robes. But maybe he wears pink, frilly knickers? Seems legit.

2) Tiramisu. I'd probably die during the first year through to heart failure... but it might just be worth it. :D

3) Umbridge. She is so... evil. I mean, Voldemort and Bellatrix are probably worse, but they also seem more evil in a cartoonish way; just plain crazy sociopaths. Umbridge's evil is much more human. Her coldness and cruelty, behind a façade of pink kitties, sends shivers down my back. Because it feels real.

4) I think the life of a Pygmy Puff would be right up my alley. Doing nothing but being cute and I get to be petted and aww'ed at the whole day!

5) I'd go with Dan Radcliffe. While he isn't my Harry, he seems like such a layed back and cool guy. His interviews are hilarious.

1.) Thranduil. So I could smite Thorin and still have lots of hate!sex :P

2.) Always Autumn. Though Spring is lovely, too. Especially an Indian Summer in Autumn, where it's between 65-70 deg F.

3.) Hagrid for least favourite. Snape for most favourite.

4.) Gah! LOL. I'd say Lockhart. I don't think I could stand Rita misrepresenting me with a phantom quill :P I've actually played Lockhart in an HP RPG, twice. If you can believe that :))))

5.) If I could time-travel back to 2004-5 when HP fandom was at its height, then HP for sure. Now? I have no idea.
