Recs and nonsense

I've been meaning to post recs from dm_asp_fest since it began. I could more or less rec every single thing, but I decided to go with those that were created for my prompts, because they are both blinding.

Building Bridges While They Burn is the hot and heavy tale of what happens when Albus goes to work at Draco's night club. The warnings are totally a list of incentives: how do you like public nudity and sexual situations, rough sex, dancing in a cage and twisted family dynamics? The MA also manages to weave in some lovely H/D to go with the Draco/Al. This fic is such a decadent treat and contained so many of my kinks that I didn't know where to put myself.

Then, Opening Negotiations (NSFW) is one of the most gorgeous pieces of art I've seen this year. It's so simple in a way, yet delivers absolute unffff to all the right places. I just read through the comments and they mostly consist of people complaining that their brains have melted, which is always a good sign. :D I'm blown away by the intensity of the two scenes and the care the artist has taken with their poses and expressions.

Reveals are on Friday so you still have nearly a week to catch up on this delicious little fest. ♥ ♥

Did you see JKR was busy on Twitter recently? I particularly liked her tweet about only stupid Muggles caring about sexual orientation (although I think I'll still write the wizarding world as being prejudiced against homosexuality if it suits the story).

But my favourite was her reply to someone who asked about people being biased against a particular house.

@privetdrivex: "Joanne, there are people who have a certain prejudice against Hufflepuff. What do you think about this?"

@jk_rowling: "They do not understand the special mystique of the badger. Do not hate them - pity them."
