First of all, WOOHOO! I reached 10k on my harrybang! I know this is a puny little milestone, but it was hard won. Thank you to my delightful cheerleaders (or people who have just tolerated me, LOL). It's very rough around the edges at the moment, but, ignoring that small fact, that's hopefully a fifth of the fic done! \o/

Draco's birthday party is continuing at capitu's LJ, and people have left some fabulous things for him. <3 It's not too late to write or draw a little something, or to peruse the prompts in case one of them sparks off some inspiration.

I think my favourites so far are:

Where is Potter?, and Where is Potter part 2, by captainraychill, two gorgeous and witty pieces of art featuring Draco in a birthday snitch hat.

List of Things Draco Wants for his Birthday by lumosed_quill, featuring a deliciously in-denial!Draco who finds that he can't quite keep his feelings for Potter suppressed any more.

And A Letter to my Partner by blithelybonny, Harry's letter to his colleague which overflows with love and really wonderful H/D feels.

And finally, SO hard to choose a banner from the perfect selection, but I went with the pirate one because it matches my Adam Ant prompt. :DD Career fair is back at the super awesome hd_fan_fair!

The prompting post is open right now and is, as ever, the most hilarious and creative place to be. I do hope all my lovely new writer and artist friends are going to sign up and pick MY prompts, yes? This was the first fest I ever wrote for, and I can recommend it 100% to prospective participants as being run by top people with humour, panache and no drama.

Fandom is such an exciting place this week! I hope you are all having a fun time as well?

Oh WOW I am truly very excited about that! Going to rush over and see if it's up yet! I'm greedy to see more of your art, to be honest - are you doing any fests this year?

I am doing art in a few fests this year, but nothing Harry/Draco. I am actually on hiatus from writing fan fic to make progress on an original novel - but I miss the camaraderie of fandom!! A lot. I left myself the "out" of doing minimal art this year for fests or comment fests, and capitu's is just so fun. I'm a Dramione shipper but have been a Drarry lurker for a long time. My one and only slash story - at https://www.fanfiction.net/s/8562290/1/The-Mermans-Concubine or http://deflower-draco.dreamwidth.org/29732.html - has a hint of Drarry. And gay merman sex. ;)

I will definitely post the "Where is Potter?" art on my LJ and at HD Fanart. Thanks for the encouragement! But as far as a consistent output in the future, probably not for a bit... if I am good.

Oh, I understand... I wish you all the best with your novel, but it must be hard to resist the instant gratification of comment fests and so on. Maybe you'll be able to play again from time to time if you're making good progress ;-) Sorry for cheekiness, but I know when I am onto a good thing.

I'm pretty sure I've read that story, just from the description, I remember it very clearly! So why have I not commented...

Dramione - it's not for everyone, especially if you ship Drarry or don't read het. Of mine, I would suggest "An Illustrated Guide to Torturing House-Elves" for humor and more sketches/art - "Doll for kink - and "The Oubliette" or "Siren Song" if you want something freakin' dark. :)
