Happy Valentines Day, dearest flist

Dear flist,

I recently made this little token of my love for a certain pointy git, over at the HP Character love fest. Never one to leave a good idea underutilised, I eagerly delved back into the tin - ugh, the tomato sauce! Glooping under my fingernails! Rootling around in the sloppy pasta to look for another 's'! And did you know, there are NO letter 'i's in a tin of alphabetti spaghetti? I was appalled. But it was worth it all to share a little love with my wonderful LJ friends.

Thank you for all the gorgeous fandom things we share together. You honestly brighten my life and I love you for it ♥

Let Me Count the Ways is kind of wrapping up today, so if you have any expressions of love still to leave, they will be very welcome. It's been a wonderful week focusing on our beloved HP characters - thank you so much to everyone who has contributed! I'll work on a final masterlist over the weekend.

I had no idea there were no i on alphabetti spaghetti! Those ies!

But to be honest, I thought you wrote this with melted cheddar cheese! Now I feel ridiculous. LOL But I did think "hey, nice steady hand Birds got there, wow!". Yeah, I'm silly. :P

That's ok, you probably don't have alphabetti spaghetti in Mexico :D

I sent one to raitala earlier in the week and she said "oh, it must have taken ages to craft that!" I thought she was so posh she didn't know you can buy spaghetti letters in tins :DDD

It's tinned spaghetti - I don't know whether you have it there - it's really soft mushy pasta in a tomato sauce, which you can get in all sorts of shapes in the UK. It's meant for children, although why we have this thing of giving children horrid processed food, I don't know... but it is great for writing edible messages!

It's kind of disgusting, to be honest :DDD. The kind of soggy comfort food you think will be really nice, and then when you have it, it's disappointing. My kids got really excited that they were allowed to have a tin the other day, and then they couldn't eat it.

Even I would not want to eat a spaghetti which is over soak in some sauce for a few months.... but it will not hurt to try. :D
