And I am laughing at how some people are still immediately recognisable even when they are commenting anonymously. Is it the same distinctive people for everybody, do you think? Or is it just that I know the people I spotted pretty well?

Anyway, I have no idea about the etiquette of such a thing - it seems like it isn't done to actually reply on the thread? And as people are anon they would not get a notification anyway...? But I wanted to say thank you for the very kind and lovely things that people have posted. THANK YOU. ♥

Aaaaand apparently it's blow my own trumpet day, because I wanted to share my freaky news that my fic Hungry has got 10,000 hits on AO3. I have no idea what makes people find it in searches and click on it so much. Is it because it's Eighth Year? Forced Bonding? Because it's got Millicent Bulstrode in it? Errrr? Anyway, I am delighted, not least because it means I can tell Mr Birds that there are definitely MORE than twenty H/D fans in the world (he says the H/D corner of HP fandom is the most niche thing he has ever heard of and will not believe that we are in fact legion :D)
