Dear naadi,

I'm sorry this is so little, and a day late, to boot, but I just wanted to make you a little thank you for all the lovely work you do in running the art fest, and for your own gorgeous creations which give me and many others so much pleasure.

"The stories we love best do live in us forever" is one of my favourite quotes from JKR about the series, and to me it definitely applies to the stories that we fan writers and artists make, too. I know the stories that your art tells will stay with us. ♥

If you'd like to let me have an address I can send it to, that would be lovely!

P.S. I have no idea why the photo wants to make itself sideways, but after 5 mins fiddling, I am just going to give up and let it be. Please excuse the dreadful chainstitch! It was done with love, but you can see the bits where the kids were being particularly distracting (blaming kids = good plan :D)

Ah, you're sweet. Anyone could do this, it's really basic stuff (and yours would probably turn out neater than this!) Sewing is so nice, it's relaxing and it's fun to see it take shape under your fingers. Why not give it a try!

I've tried sewing buttons on.....they come loose in two days, seriously ! My hubbie is a man of many talents, musical genius, fabulous cook (the kids would starve if it was left up to me, or at least get rickets or something) and he's one of those annoying people who picks up things really fast, if he wasn't so lovely I'd hate him :-) My only talent is reading really fast, I can do a book or two in a day, but to be honest, that's not a talent so much as a skill that keeps me from insanity :-)

Reading fast is a great skill! I used to have that one but now my concentration is shot.

That's me, with the buttons falling off, definitely. I can't sew anything useful. I wish I could knit, also, but I have dyspraxia and even embroidery is a challenge!
