I am so worried about the referendum here in Britain about whether we will stay in the European Union (I am strongly REMAIN, but I fear that the LEAVE campaign with its racist, fearmongering lies will be successful).

But anyway, YAY WIZARDS. My usual strategy for when I don't want to think about something.

1) FOUR of my prompts have been claimed at hd_fan_fair! I love every one of you crazy people! Auror peacocks! Sexy dragon bonding! Hesitant puppy roleplay! And Draco nicking Harry's post in a fit of jealousy! \o/ \o/ \o/ \o/

I can't WAIT for September.

2) Another glorious poster was released for Fantastic Beasts

Oh, my heart, I am so prepared to adore this film. I desperately want a poster from the film, to replace the tattered and beloved GoF poster that's been on my bedroom door forever.

This is one of my favourite images of film!Harry and I'll be sorry to lose this poster, but it's quite ripped and I like the idea of seeing Newt there every morning instead. I found a place on eBay who sells them, but only up to A2. I suppose I might have to be patient and wait until the film is actually OUT before I get a large one, but for now... do you think I should get the latest poster, shown above, or the one that's been out for a while, as below?

I wasn't wildly interesting in Fantastic Beasts until a friend who is also quite a major film critic asked me to help her with an article on it, and now I'm really bouncy about it :)

(Also, I am so very much with you on the EU debate. The racism has been blatant and just awful - I live in Kent, which is always prone to it :/ - but as a queer, disabled woman (especially the disabled bit), really fucking terrified on my own behalf too.)

Nat is also terrified. We're both in the remain camp, as was everyone in the office today, if that helps (though I do work in an office of lefty liberal conservationists)

I will tell you what I told Tash. When I was walking home tonight there were a couple of guys standing at the top of the one way system with a vote leave sign and waving union flags. They weren't getting much response maybe one in 30 cars but the best thing was this little old lady who hobbled across the road with her sticks, booing, giving them the thumbs down and blowing raspberries.

I feel you on the referendum issues. It's a good thing they legally can't report too much today.

butt Yay Wizards! (i mispelt that but, but it looks right in this context). Glad your prompts got claimed that's always exciting!

That poster does look pretty darn epic! And I say that as someone not especially hyped by Magical Beasts. Still I hope it's good.

Can you believe I have nothing to express my excitement for Fantastic Beasts yet? Like, nothing! Well, the book, obviously, but little else. I need more fantastic creatures!!! I only had a Hedwig, and she's fantastic, and a rat, but that's all. *despairs*

I'm gonna make the bf get me something. ^^

I'm so excited about it. My nephew, who I ~educated~ in all things HP since he was tiny, is super excited! I already told him I'm going to dress up for the premier (of what??) and he said, *long suffering sigh* I guess I'll have to as well. Heh.

Ohh! I'm so regretting not getting a Monster Book of Monsters!!!! *shakes fist as self* I mean, I didn't, did I....

Yeah, no, I didn't, BUT I FOUND FLUFFY! \o/ I've got Fluffy, which totally counts as a fantastic best! :D

We're not going to hate the film, come on! It's going to be a lot of fun. :) It's harmless fun. Unlike... you know what. *lol*

I'm so jealous of all your prompts getting claimed. I haven't got any claimed. *sniffs* I was so hoping for that H&D raising Hedwig's chicks. ^^

I envy your no fucks given approach to both dressing up as/for the things you love and braving premiere night crowds. :)

I never post a comment even if I'm an avid reader (but I feel my english is so wobbly and It'd take ages to check everything and I'm lazy too, and basically yes I really have no excuses), but I adore you and the HP fandom and in this time I feel the need to show my support. I really, really hope you'll stay with us in the UE. Many hugs and lots of love from Italy.

I'm scared for you and have everything crossed. ♥

I, too, am excited for FB. *bounces* I doubt I'll dress up, unless (and this is just now occurring to me as I type this) we make some sort of fandom gathering/outing to the movies in my state (after all, there are several of us here now), in which case it could be a ton of fun. I must think on this. :)

At this point thinking on anything that will take my mind off our upcoming November election is a good thing. :P

Ooh, I like the second Beasts poster best.

Good luck on the referendum! Fingers and legs are crossed for you.

Holy grapes, those are all some damn fine posters. You have the Harry one on your door right now, you say? It's very, very gorgeous. I may need to get something like that, myself. Hmm, and the choice is really tricky in my opinion because the top one is more dramatic, imaginative and has beautiful scenery, but the architecture in the one that's been out for a while is absolutely drool worthy. Sooo. I can't choose. Both? :D

I've been reading a lot about your situation over there lately and my thoughts are with you. *Crosses fingers and hopes for the best*

I am watching the referendum drama from my side of the Atlantic and nibbling my nails right along with you. I agree that Newt and his upcoming film do take the edge off. I don't really fancy Eddie per se, but he is rather pretty and he is one of those actors that absolutely becomes his character. So I think I rather fancy Newt.

No need to apologize. There is more than enough blame to go around and there are lots of people who should apologize, but you are not one of them.

I know this is over simplifying, but if this can happen in the UK, the idea of Trump winning here actually just got real. Oh. My. God. So maybe I can imagine a little bit about how you feel. Did the "stay" party not turn out to vote? Canada's looking better and better, eh?
