Everyone considered (and she was aware) Hermione to be kind of a know-it-all. And she was alright by it, mostly. The thing that most people didn’t realise was that she only liked telling you to stop when she thought you were making a mistake, but if she saw you doing something she approved of, she kept it to herself.

She was rather peculiar like that.

When she first saw Harry stalking Malfoy in Sixth year, she was worried. But, when she saw Harry’s fingers brush against Draco’s in Eighth year during a library study session, she smiled, bit her lip and returned her gaze to her book.

She left the library shortly after, willing to give the boys some privacy.

“Where’s Harry?” Ron asked, curious to see Hermione leaving the library alone.

“He’s busy,” she answered simply. “Keeping himself occupied.”

“With what?” Ron asked, trying to look over her shoulder to see if he could spot Harry.

“Let’s go, Ron,” she said, pulling him by his robes and all but dragging him away.

“Where?” he asked, complaining.

“To keep ourselves occupied. You pay far too much attention to Harry.”

Ron had no complaints after that.
