I'm just finishing reading GoF to my son, and this piece has really hit home. I really adore your Cedric and I am so glad you chose to write something for the fest. This letter has such a lovely simplicity, but contains so much about Cedric's hopes, his values, his loves and his fears. Of course, it's also steeped in horrible irony as we know what the next day will bring. Poor Cedric! Thank you for leaving this for him, and for us.
