Help! I am running out of month! Here in the nick of time is my sixth rec post for Rectober, with 2 more to come next week.

OK this time I am cheating a bit. Again. It's not all fic. But it could be very inspiring.I bring you:

NAKED ROWING CALENDAR REC.

Merciful heavens, omi_ohmy, I saw this and thought of you.



These charming young men, and their team mates, the Warwick Rowers, are stripping off (and larking about together, shaving one another, squirting each other with water and pushing each other in rivers) to combat homophobia. I, for one, think it would be wrong to stop them.

So, rowing apparently does give you an outrageously fit body. When is it career fair again? Rower!Harry, anybody? Coxwain!Draco?

Why I loved it: This was for my prompt and I don't really think it could be more perfect. I was so excited to get art and a story together. The boys are wonderfully handsome and their faces and postures are so expressive. Luna is a gorgeous addition. The story is simple but charming, and there are piles and piles and shelves and shelves of books in every picture. ♥

It's very educational, that video. And it's for a good cause. It would be hard-hearted NOT to watch it a few times.

I had to look up coxwain first, but wholly approve now of both rower!Harry and coxwain!Draco. There must have been races on the Lake, right? Every British school has a rowing team, now?

And apparently next year we need to do Career Fair again. ;)

I think the Hogwarts Rowing Team needs a lot more research. We should start with that video.

I applied to Warwick Uni and didn't get in. This now strikes me as unspeakable cruelty D: Looking on the bright side, maybe their rowing team weren't as hot back then.

Ha! me too! I was devastated. I was all set for Warwick, they gave me a great offer, and then I failed to get a B in German =(I never even freaking wanted to take German) and that was me out. Not that I am bitter or anything, 24 years later... O_o

It maybe was for the best. We might have got arrested for over-enthusiastic "helping" at the photo shoot.
