A/N: Like many others, I am highly enamoured of Stanley, the unforgettable beetle from 'All Life is Yours to Miss'. I made this for vaysh11's birthday and have promised another one for the lovely saras_girl; I had hoped to get them both finished at the same time, but clumsy fingers prevented me.

Thank you very much to raitala who suggested I should attempt this feat of lunacy (trying to embroider a willow pattern onto an applique beetle was not the most sensible task I have ever taken on), and who luckily proved very useful with sewing advice!

This is so wonderful! I love the Willow Pattern shell (which is exactly what I had in my head when I imagined him as I read the story) and the tack-tacking!! So cute! And yay embroidery! I'm currently working on a set of dishtowels for a wedding I'm going to next weekend, and it's currently a coin-toss whether I'll finish in time. So of course I'm poking around Livejournal instead of sewing on them... :)

Thank you, that's a very kind comment! I love this rich shade of green. I thought it would be nice to have the writing in silver, but a shiny grey was all I could manage. I'm pleased overall, though.
