I don't think there will be an equivalent, it sounds like a uniquely Aus thing. If we want to refer to someone over here who is socially inept, unfashionable and all of that, we call them a wanker and there's no affectionate about it! I much prefer the idea that this could be seen as amusing, quirky and likeable. I think I need to move south immediately.
