Our playmobil people have been cosplaying again

I was meant to be getting on with stuff today, but instead created this multi-media art piece, which I have titled:

Procrastination, thy name is Stanley



You just have to pretend that he's green with a willow-pattern; those are totally booties, not stickers, and that's a snowy landscape not two towels that need ironing. And I did not spend fifteen minutes doing this and chuckling to myself when I should have been cleaning the bathroom.

Ahaha don't worry. No ironing is ever done by me. In fact, my children think ironing is a really manly task, because they occasionally see their dad ironing a shirt. They rank it on a par with using a power tool or dangerous weapon.

Ha ha. I think I could marry you, too. Although given Mr. Fiend's jealousy of the fandom and my devotion to it, I should probably let him keep his title as spouse. Even if he doesn't want to discuss Harry Potter on an hourly basis and has no idea who Stanley is. His loss.
Oh, and I totally need to buy more Playmobil figures. For the kids! Yeah, the kids..

Mr Birds is so relieved I have found fandom. It keeps me busy and happy and he doesn't have to listen to my crap for hours on end any more, only minutes on end.

I either need more playmobil sets, or we need fic about how Harry and Draco work together as dustmen (refuse collectors), go on a deep sea fishing adventure, or spend a lot of time at the skate park.

Bird-Fiend! I love it! Can we marry in fandom?

Mr. Fiend mainly resents the fandom from distracting me from video games. He knows it's the reason I'm not playing Rift with him at the moment.

I want dustmen Drarry! *hops up and down* I feel like I've seen them on a boat, but that would be entirely new. Is it Career Fair yet?

LOL, we could have a big online event, and invite everyone to dress up and party, and write us drabbles as wedding gifts, heh. Well, perhaps we should get engaged first, although the prospect of being Mrs and Mrs Bird-Fiend is almost so tempting as to make me rush into it.

YY dustmen Drarry! What does happen to rubbish in the Wizarding World? For some reason I have this picture of Draco and Blaise riding a bin lorry in much the same way as they did the Knight Bus in dysonrules' fic. We should really remember this for the next career fair (god I love career fair).

My kids have got some lovely, realistic looking beetles somewhere, but I could I find them? No. Only the giant plasticy yellow one from the bottom of the toy box.

This makes me ridiculously happy :) and also resolves my pondering about where one would fasten a leash around a giant beetle......sadly yes there was actual pondering.....

Just to reiterate, I LOVE big yellow Stanley. And yes, I now have that in my head, too. I love his hugeness and Draco's expression - he just looks sort of smugly impressed, I think. I have to say, I like Bird-Fiend more than my actual surname! Is that terribly sad?

I like the idea of Draco and Blaise being dustmen Dyson-style. I loved that Knight Bus fic. *drifts into happy memories of Draco making hot cocoa* Surely an Auror would need to interview dustmen about evidence or as witnesses. Right?

I agree Draco's expression turned out to be surprisingly apt. I think he is saying smugly "Why yes, I DO have a rather fabulous giant yellow beetle on the end of a lead; what of it?"

Better late than never (my commenting, that is): I LOVE this. I think it works especially well because of the size difference, it just sums up the essence of Stanley.

Ooh hello, I was rubbish about responding to this nice comment, although I know I did read it. Yes yes, that was entirely my aim, with the size difference, it was nothing to do with that being the only beetle I could find in the entire house. :D

At one point I was hoping to find the very dead, very large stag beetle I know J was hoarding a while back. A real beetle would have added a certain something to the scene, I think (terror? :DD)
