The Basilisk still scares me more than the Dementors, to be honest! I think it's the idea that, if you look at it and it looks back, you're pretty much fucked, so you can't fight it... *shudders* I'd sooner take on a Dementor. I'm pretty sure I could handle conjuring a Patronus more than I could handle being attacked by a giant, sharp-toothed snake I can't look at D: (and I actually like normal snakes...)
Exactly! I love my Slytherins and Death Eaters and psychopaths, but they're much more fun in theory than in practice x)
