Well, I was worried about this, and I honestly never intended to do this, it was just going to be hilarious smut, but then FEELS OCCURRED, and Albus told me this was the love of his fucking life, and that I had to take it seriously, OK, and then... oh dear.
ANYWAY. I completely agree with all of your headcanons here, Draco's heart racing while trying to look cool, like a twat, and TOTALLY Al having grown up but still knowing that no-one will ever compare to Draco. Because WHO DOES, tbh? And I think Draco has grown up a bit (and possibly become a teensy bit more human after falling for Al a bit in the first place, and then having his heart bruised when Al left), and that Al is man enough to tell him when he's being a total shit, instead of just the shit we know and love.
And who knows if it will last or anything, but it COULD DO. I have hopes.
