So, this is something new for me. A rec for the Merlin fandom. I have only watched the show once, but I do know I like that beautiful Colin, and there was a lot of taking shirts off, and-- ANYWAY. It all got the thumbs up from me. However, what I want to tell you is that you don't need to have watched Merlin to enjoy this fic. It's quite simply just a gorgeous, poetic, heart-wrenching, romantic and angsty tale of love between two characters who you will adore.

The subject line is the only thing I can think of to accurately describe my feelings on reading the A/N for the fic I am about to rec. Yes, I did flail. omi_ohmy has the incriminating evidence via email. :DDD I keep going back to check it ACTUALLY DOES SAY MY NAME on it, but, as of 9 pm this evening, it does. (I may take a screenshot just in case SG has a change of heart. You think I am kidding.) Anyway. I've finished breathing into a paper bag, just about. :D

I am SO INTO writing my hd_fan_fair fic now that I am an unkempt mess, growling at anything that tries to prevent me from writing all day and night, such as meals, personal hygiene and my children. Last night I was trying to write something super romantic and UST-ish, and I suddenly got hit by such a MASSIVE WHOOSH of Drarry feels, that it nearly knocked me over.

Then this morning I woke up and checked LJ on my phone in bed. A terrible habit, I know, but the baby has a habit of waking me up about 5.30 am and then going back to sleep, leaving me just lying there staring at the ceiling. And I saw raitala's latest, absolutely incredible hd_level_two art HERE and I got whooshed so hard again I went a bit giddy. Her art always used to leave me breathless and flushed, and now she has discovered animation I swear she may actually kill me.JUST LOOK AT THEM! The words, they are all gone.

Then over breakfast the gorgeous marianna_merlo had made such a lovely post about OTPs. Just another super nice fandom discussion that reminds you what a great community this is.

Finally I get home at the end of a long day and citrus_lime has drawn me totally NSFW art:

So in short, I basically adore this kind of day, where I feel like I've fallen in love with Harry and Draco all over again (and all of you, too), and I want to shout it from the rooftops.

I can't wait! I love the colours and the simple but instantly recognisable motifs, with all the associations they give you of that character. So clever. I have not decided where to put it yet, maybe the bathroom, or the hall, so I can think about Sherlock every time I walk past. I was going to ask for it for my birthday in a couple of months, but now with free shipping I have decided it would really be impolite not to buy it straight away ;-)

This is a gem! I love the tropical setting, and the fact that Harry and Draco are ex-spouses when the story begins. It has lovely flangst, a great emotional journey and bags of UST.
