Anyone for Rectober?

Hello, lovely flist! It's nearly October and I wondered if anyone fancied a spot of reccing?

If you have no idea what Rectober is, the idea is to have a month celebrating recs for fanworks. Participants pledge to post recs, as frequently as they feel they want to, or to support the fest by reading from recs and leaving comments, or commenting on rec posts to let the person know you enjoyed their recs, or any other way you want to join in. We had fun with it in 2013 and 2014.

Anyway! Please click and tick and comment and let me know what you think. In previous years people pledged anything from daily rec posts to one post during the month, so the commitment could be as big or small as you choose.

Rectober will always be multi-fandom, any pairing, any genre, whatever you like.

I put fortnightly, because I'm not doing shit that first week, I can tell you that much because I'll be too busy (for ~Reasons <333 ), but I can't resist a Rectober! Even if I'm too busy to pee! I'll find a way! I'll rec only drabbles maybe! :-D

I'm happy you like the idea of it! I'm happy to start promoting it if enough people want to get involved. I've been so busy I haven't really planned anything for it, but hopefully it sort of runs itself these days?

I generally rec monthly, but I make several different rec posts towards the end of the month. Not sure If I'll rec more than usual, but I'll try! <3

I'm always ticking myself off for not reccing enough, and it's something I want to do a lot more of - I really enjoyed doing my recent Snarry Crack Boom recs and after that I became immediately useless at reccing :P

So yes, fabulous idea, would love to support the reccing and it will spur me on to make a conscious reccing effort. Thank you for organising!

Plus, who can resist the gorgeous autumnal banners by capitu? I feel like putting on some knitted socks and curling up with an enormous book and a mug of hot chocolate right now <3

Rectober is the best, and is what got me involved in fandom last year, so HELL YES I will be participating again :)

Normally I rec after fests end, but I will try to get in a few extra in October :)

Definitely here for this, I frickin loved it last year! I'm gonna go for twice to three times a week, and I'm gonna try and multi-fandom it again, with a few recs in each fandom for each ship that I ship, because I'm ridiculous and like to collect them like they're My Little Ponies (don't judge me). IT'S GONNA BE SO MUCH FUN!!

I always enjoy Rectober - glad to see it back for another year!

Life has got much busier for me but I've said I'll try and do a weekly post, possibly multi-fandom. If that fails, I will at least read the stuff everyone else recs!

I'm up for being more engaged. How does it work outside of reccing things on your journal and commenting on things in others? Is there a community thing to check in with?

We haven't had a comm in the past... I did think about it this year but decided to keep it simple. I have posted a sign up post and kept a list of participants in previous years; I'll try to do that again this time.

Ahh, I love Rectober. Such a great thing. Sadly, I don't think I can commit this year. I might end up having time for a post, but I can't promise, because my October is looking pretty busy. But I'll be looking out for all the lovely recs :)

Yay, another Rectober!

I'm not going to rec as much as last year (twice a week), because rl has me in it's claws. I'll try my best to write a few cross fandoms posts and take a look at other recs. That way I discovered some of the most brilliant fics last year. :D
