Rec: And No Birds Sing (Arthur/Merlin, 35k, R)
So, this is something new for me. A rec for the Merlin fandom. I have only watched the show once, but I do know I like that beautiful Colin, and there was a lot of taking shirts off, and-- ANYWAY. It all got the thumbs up from me. However, what I want to tell you is that you don't need to have watched Merlin to enjoy this fic. It's quite simply just a gorgeous, poetic, heart-wrenching, romantic and angsty tale of love between two characters who you will adore.

I hope you all knowomi_ohmy's writing. Inspired by Keats' La Belle Dame Sans Merci, this fic is like pure essence of Omi. She says she wrote it to indulge herself - well, she should just go ahead and indulge herself all the ruddy time, in my opinion. The prose is so delicious you could eat it up with a spoon. Really, it's a fabulous, beautiful thing, just go and enjoy it, and finish feeling slightly broken but IN THE BEST WAY. I left an embarrassing flaily comment at her LJ and now all I have left in me is a list of amazing highlights:
