I am so hopeless at posting on here, please excuse my html fails I beg you!

I've been reading at hd_fan_fair on AO3 and have had a glorious time. I've also been looking at the friendly contest to win the house cup and trying to do my bit for Team Treacle Tarts... however, it appears looking at the scoring spreadsheet (awarded for comments and recs), TTT are a bunch of feckless layabouts. :DDD We have the most team members and the fewest points per person by far, LOL! After completing the quiz to get sorted, apparently TTT are the people who like reading filth and UST. Well, I definitely belong there, so they are MY bunch of feckless layabouts. But who knew people who like smut were the type to just get instant gratification and then click away? I'm shocked! (OK, I'm really not... ;-))

Anyway, enough rambling and onto the recs. My reading has been quite random, and I've enjoyed everything I've tried, so please take this post for what it is: a disorganised selection of some of the glories that I've stumbled on. I'm so sorry but I have hardly read any longer fics due to lack of time. Please tell me what I've missed! I'd love to hear what my friends have been reading. <3

Chasing Treacle Tart (and Draco Malfoy)

This, to me, is like a quintessential fan fair fic. It's hot, it's very funny, it's incredibly feelgood, it's got a slightly ridiculous premise (Draco is a dinner lady), it's got awkward flirting and Harry munching sadly on a potato. I absolutely adored it.

The Hand That Feeds You

Merlin on a flaming broom, this was INCENDIARILY hot. Maybe it just hit a ton of my kinks, but it's soooo beautifully written and immersive and divine and emotional and hurty and, I flail. Sub!Harry has a guilty part-time BDSM relationship with Draco to escape and be himself. Birds swoons. Warnings for infidelity, BDSM, open ending, and quite frankly dangerous levels of hotness. It's a total gem.

The Great Magic Sex Mushroom Fiasco

First of all, best title ever. Second of all, Harry and Draco eat magic sex mushrooms by accident. HOW TRAGIC. The results are deliciously, divinely dirty and also wonderfully feelsy. A beaut of a fic.

Succumb or Retreat

This is a premise that always has me drooling - Auror!Harry feeling very conflicted about Draco, who for some mysterious reason can't seem to keep out of trouble. Here Harry is intriguingly grey in terms of morality and Draco is as devious and self-serving as they come... it's a winner.

Draco Malfoy's Reasonably Large Cucumber

If the title of this gorgeous comic doesn't have you snickering, I can't really help you. Draco is driving Harry INSANE by boasting about his firm and versatile cucumber. Preposterous and delightful shenanigans ensue.

There were many others I have enjoyed but I've run out of time for now!

LOL! I got sorted into Cauldron Cakes, who are crushing it, but apparently we're the ones who like sweet fluff?? And that is very much not me?? Ehh, I'm on the winning team, so like a Slytherin, I'm not going to challenge the sorting. ;)

Draco Malfoy's Reasonably Large Cucumber had me in STITCHES! I think it just might be my favorite thing our dear ~mystery artist~ has come out with yet!

Super interesting that most of our favorite fics seem to be quite different! Which is why reccers are so important!! I've recced a number of fics, but I think my top four so far are The Dinner, The Way These Days Seem to Go (And Go), Let him lead me to the banquet, & Slice of Life. Though I must admit, I've not been great about reading the really long ones, and now that Erised proofing season is upon me, I'm not sure I'll get to them...

Hehe, we like different fics because you are the fluff queen, obviously... ;-)

But actually it's because I haven't read any of those you mention! Thank you for the recs, I will never catch up, I can see that now, but it's nice to have an idea where to go next.

Aaaah I am so far behind on reading fanfair that at this point I'm just waiting for reveals. Though really I ought to at least go through and comment on the art! Lack of time and inability to make my brain focus on anything is no excuse for that! And SPEAKING of art, I was drawn in by the title of Draco Malfoy's Reasonably Large Cucumber and then it totally didn't disappoint. I was just shrieking with laughter by the end of it XD XD XD

Gosh my attempts to keep up have basically been reading one or two fics per week. I haven't even kept up with the art! I've enjoyed everything I've read, it's been a blast. Reveals will be fun; I have my suspicions...

TTT is failing because I'm one of you, and I've only commented on like 3 pieces of art and a fic I'd betaed. I bring your average down sorry lol

I haven't read much of fain fair yet for several reasons, one being that I've been drawn more to books lately. I've heard excellent things about The Hand that Feeds You and will definitely try it once I find a moment between KJ Charles and writing for Erised. I read one short fic (no sex alas) called Teutonic where Draco is a human plate and enjoyed the writing and the banter.

Oh it's YOU is it? :DDD LOL, I did laugh when I looked through the spreadsheet and I was one of the higher scorers, I thought "shit we are really in trouble here" :DDD

But I think we should probably embrace being the slutty team who just want to read filth while eating bonbons and then snap the laptop shut when we are done.

REAL BOOKS? Is that allowed? :D You really must read The Hand That Feeds You, it's stupendous.

Popping in to say YAS to KJ Charles! I've been reading a massive amount of original m/m romances and she's one of my auto-buy authors. :D

It's the second book of hers I've read, and am now a huge fan. Bought another, followed her on twitter, the works!
