Promoting the Last Drabble Writer Standing contest! This is such a fun and surprising thing to take part in; I thoroughly recommend it. Reading all the drabbles each week is one of my favourite parts of the year, but the mods need people to sign up to make it work...

If you are thinking about it but feeling a bit wobbly, post here and I will stroke your hair and gently bribe you until you feel ready to take the plunge. I have taken part twice (am not eligible this year as I was in it last year) so also feel free to ask questions about what it is like. ♥ Go on! Be daring and give it a try.

Well, there are not THAT many active H/D writers who check LJ regularly, I don't think. And obviously everyone from last year is excluded. But I think it will work out OK - you have some wonderful people up there! Will you still be able to run it if you don't get your full 14? Adjust the schedule a little and make it a shorter contest?

We'll run it no matter what - but I'm hoping we can get at least 12. If not, we'll adjust.

They ban you from entering consecutive years?

Are there still enough Drarry writers out there for that?

We'll see, I guess! There are quite a few of us around (if you look at sign ups for hd_erised, for instance, that's capped at 40 writers and it's always full within a few hours). But not everyone writes drabbles or enjoys the competitive element, of course.
