Ohh, thanks so much for this glorious comment. I'm really glad the 1st person POV worked for you. I do feel most comfortable writing in 1st person but I know it is offputting for some people. I'm glad the weather description worked for you! I was trying to put myself in Draco's head at that so I just imagined the sensory details in his room. Afterwards when I was editing I thought the rain was irrelevant and should really be cut, but I liked it, so it stayed.

I remember really enjoying that Labyrinth story so I'm awfully flattered if any part of this reminded you of it!

And yes, I KNOW this is ripe for sequels. It's trying to burrow far into my brain until I write some more of it, but as I haven't time, I am firmly ignoring it :D
