HA! I know exactly what you mean! I got lucky like that with the first longfic I ever read, Turn. 300k of glorious installments and I came in right near the end and whooshed through it all. :DD

Hardly anyone even knew I was writing this, let alone were waiting for it, so I don't think it's really the same though, LOL.
